Tesla Model Y service schedule

Published by the Serviced247 editorial teamLast reviewed 24 October 2026Reviewed when manufacturer guidance changes

The Model Y follows the same maintenance approach as the Model 3: no annual service, a short list of published items on their own intervals, and wear parts replaced on condition.

Maintenance items owners encounter

  • Cabin air filter - replaced at a published interval
  • Brake fluid - health check, replaced if required
  • Brake calipers - clean and lubricate in salted-road regions
  • Tyres - rotation, balancing and replacement on condition
  • Air conditioning desiccant bag - at a model-specific interval

Tesla's published Model Y maintenance guidance is the authoritative source. Intervals and items differ by model year.

How it differs from the Model 3

The Model Y is taller, heavier and usually on larger wheels than an equivalent Model 3, which tends to mean higher tyre costs and faster tyre wear. The published maintenance items themselves are broadly the same, but always check Tesla's guidance for your exact model and year rather than assuming they match.

MOT and the Model Y

First MOT three years after registration, then annually, at any DVSA-authorised test station in Great Britain.
