Find a car garage by location

23,056 centres across England, Scotland and Wales, listed from the DVSA register of active MOT test stations. Browse by town, postcode area or region, then contact centres directly using the phone number on each listing. You can also browse all MOT test centres by region, or read our guide to a car service.

What we can and cannot tell you about a garage

DVSA MOT-authorised

Sourced from published DVSA data. It means the site is authorised to carry out MOT tests in the vehicle classes shown on its page. Name, address, phone number and tested classes come from the same source.

Verified servicing & repairs - not yet held

MOT authorisation says nothing about whether a centre also services cars, does repairs or fits tyres, what it charges, or when it is open. We do not publish a servicing or repair claim for any centre until we hold verified, sourced capability data for it. Until then, confirm directly with the garage.

How to choose a local garage

  • Get an itemised written quote before work starts, and agree a limit for extra work.
  • Ask what warranty covers parts and labour, and for how long.
  • Check the garage works to a published checklist for servicing, not just a price tier.
  • Ask whether your service will be recorded in the service book or a digital service record.
  • For an electric or hybrid, confirm high-voltage training before booking.
  • Keep every invoice - a documented history supports resale value.
