Audi service schedule

Audi's service indicator counts down to the next service based on the regime the car is set to and, on flexible schedules, on how it is actually driven.
Fixed and flexible schedules
- Fixed (time and distance) regime - suits lower-mileage cars and short journeys; shorter, predictable intervals.
- Flexible / longlife regime - suits higher-mileage cars doing longer runs; the car extends the interval based on driving conditions and requires a specific longlife oil.
- Oil change service - the lighter service: engine oil and filter plus checks.
- Inspection service - the broader service: additional filters and a longer inspection list.
Using the wrong oil specification on a flexible schedule can cause problems. Confirm the garage is using oil to the correct Audi specification for your engine.
Digital service records
Audi keeps an electronic service history. Ask any garage whether it can record the service digitally as well as stamping the book, and what proof of work you will be given.
Service plans
Audi service plans are manufacturer and dealer agreements. Serviced247 does not sell or administer them and holds no data about their coverage or pricing. Check your agreement before servicing outside the dealer network.
Items that sit outside a routine service
- Brake fluid - a time-based change on most schedules
- Coolant and, where fitted, gearbox or DSG oil
- Cambelt, where the engine has one
- Tyres, brake pads and discs - replaced on condition, not on schedule
- Air-conditioning service and regas
Always check the schedule for your exact engine and model year. The definitive source is the handbook, the service indicator and the manufacturer's own schedule - not a generic tier name.
