Toyota service schedule

Published by the Serviced247 editorial teamLast reviewed 24 October 2026

Toyota publishes a schedule per model and engine. Intervals are usually expressed as time or distance, whichever arrives first, and hybrids have their own additional checks.

Toyota service types

  • Intermediate service - engine oil and filter plus inspection items.
  • Full service - a broader list adding further filters and checks.
  • Hybrid health check - a specific inspection of the hybrid system, usually carried out alongside the service on hybrid models.
  • Longer-interval items - brake fluid, coolant and spark plugs on their own schedules.

Toyota's own extended-warranty style schemes are manufacturer programmes with their own terms. Serviced247 does not administer them; read your agreement before servicing outside the dealer network.

Hybrid servicing

Hybrid servicing adds inspection of the high-voltage battery cooling, inverter coolant and hybrid system status. Some of this work needs technicians trained on high-voltage systems.

Serviced247 does not hold verified records of which garages are qualified to work on hybrid high-voltage systems. Ask the garage directly.

Items that sit outside a routine service

  • Brake fluid - a time-based change on most schedules
  • Coolant and, where fitted, gearbox or DSG oil
  • Cambelt, where the engine has one
  • Tyres, brake pads and discs - replaced on condition, not on schedule
  • Air-conditioning service and regas

Always check the schedule for your exact engine and model year. The definitive source is the handbook, the service indicator and the manufacturer's own schedule - not a generic tier name.
